She wasn’t always so green.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez chowed down on a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, during a Facebook Live video from 2017 as she and her friends drove through the state of Wisconsin.
AOC, called the hearty sandwich a “palate cleanser” after taking a bite of a decidedly less-appetizing Wisconsin cheese curd.
“I’ve got a breakfast sandwich for my real food,” AOC exclaims in relief. Ocasio-Cortez was joined in the car by friends Maria Swisher and Joshua Pereira.
Since going to Congress, however, the progressive has railed against the horrors of meat, saying it hurts the environment. In February 2019, the freshman socialist told Queens schoolchildren they could save the earth by reducing their meat intake.
She specifically suggested dumping breakfast meat and dairy.
