WASHINGTON – First Lady Melania Trump will be appearing alongside pop star Demi Lovato’s mother next week to discuss the opioid epidemic.

Lovato, 26, was hospitalized in July after an apparent overdose and remains in treatment.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

The first lady and Dianna Hart, Lovato’s mom, will be joined by university president Jerry Falwell Jr.and his wife Becki, as well as Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar.

Former Fox News Channel host Eric Bolling, whose only son died of an opioid overdose in September 2017, will also appear.
