PEMBERTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — One New Jersey teenager is charged with reckless manslaughter in the death of another who refused to fight.

Police say 18-year-old Lavance Gadsden wanted 15-year-old Laron Brown to go with him Saturday to confront some teens after they had exchanged words with. Brown refused.

Authorities say Gadsden later punched Brown in the chest.

The medical examiner says the blow led to fatal heart failure.

The victim and suspect attended Pemberton Township High School.

Gadsden is held in the Burlington County Jail on $150,000 bail.
