BUFFALO — A 100-year-old man who is New York state’s oldest registered sex offender could be released from a halfway house soon, much to the dismay of a prosecutor who says he remains a threat to children.

Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita calls Theodore Sypnier an unrepentant child molester and “the personification of evil.”
