A Coney Island strongman who lived to be 104 has died after he was hit by a minivan in Brooklyn.
Local legend Joseph Rollino was struck Monday morning as he was crossing Bay Ridge Parkway in Brooklyn near his home. He suffered a broken pelvis, head trauma and broken ribs in the accident and died a few hours later at Lutheran Medical Center. He was known as “Kid Dundee” in his boxing days and was regarded as a model of health.
Police say the driver was going the speed limit and had not been drinking. She was issued a summons for a defective horn.
