An 11-year-old East Harlem girl jumped to her death from the roof of her 16-story apartment building in an apparent suicide Thursday, law enforcement sources said.

The girl landed on a patch of grass at the base of the Wagner Houses at about 5:30 p.m. and was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where she died, police said.

“She was lying right in the grass. She wasn’t moving at all,” said neighbor Epi Ortiz, 41. “Her mom was here. She was screaming, yelling. The cops took her away and sat her down.”

Neighbors said the door to the roof is supposed to be locked with an alarm — but no one heard it go off.
