126 trapped on plane 7 hrs.
Passengers on a Newark-bound JetBlue flight from Florida were held prisoner on a tarmac in Connecticut for more than seven hours yesterday.
The plane, Flight 504, took off from Fort Lauderdale at around 10 a.m. and was scheduled to land in Newark, but was instead diverted to Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks, Conn.
It landed at around 1:30 p.m. And that’s where the 126 passengers sat until about 8:30 p.m..
“Getting ugly here. People yelling wanting to get off” Tweeted Andrew Carter, a sportswriter for the Miami Sun-Sentinel, after about three hours.
He later posted, “No water. Bathrooms don’t work.”
A spokeswoman for JetBlue couldn’t exactly say why the passengers were on the plane for so long.
