The charges were laid out in multiple indictments in Manhattan Supreme Court, claiming that the workers wrongfully obtained questions and answers to eight safety exams over three years, court records show. The materials were then distributed to prospective conductors and engineers.

One of the MTA workers, Anthony Carbone, allegedly used his cellphone to snap a picture of the exam without the instructor’s knowledge before sharing it with other prospective engineers.

Carbone was demoted along with defendants Danielle Bonge and Coltyn Reindel.

All 13 defendants pleaded not guilty.
