A 15-year-old boy was killed Wednesday morning in a blaze in a Brooklyn home, according to police sources and fire officials.
It took ten minutes for the blaze to grow from a first alarm to a second alarm fire. Seth Gottfried for NY PostThe fire broke out inside a building on Pulaski Street near Nostrand Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 6:20 a.m., according to the FDNY.
The 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead at 6:55 a.m., around 35 minutes after the fire began. Seth Gottfried for NY PostThe fire grew to a second alarm within about 10 minutes, drawing 25 units and about 106 firefighters.
The cause of the fire at 16 Pulaski St. is currently unknown. Seth Gottfried for NY PostA teenager, who was not immediately identified, was discovered unconscious and unresponsive on the fourth floor and pronounced dead at 6:55 a.m., police sources said.
