A 16-year-old student was stabbed in the shoulder after trying to protect his friend from the attack in Brooklyn, police said Wednesday.

The unnamed victim was standing in front of 6801 Fourth Ave. at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and 68th Street in Bay Ridge when he was stabbed by a man wearing a camouflage jacket and a black hoodie around 2:13 p.m., according to cops.

Witnesses told The Post a group of three boys jumped two students while walking to a deli near their High School of Telecommunication Arts and Technology campus. At one point, one boy pulled a knife and tried to stabbed one of the students.

One of the students tried to fend off the attack of his friend — but was hit in the shoulder, cops said.

Cops questioned some of the students at the deli — but the NYPD is still searching for the attacker, cops said.

He was transported to a NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn according to police, who say he is not likely to die.
