HERKIMER, NY — A woman who said she ran over a bound man with a car after he promised she’d be paid for killing him has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.

Assistant Herkimer County District Attorney Jeffrey Carpenter said Jennifer Riesel, 29, showed no remorse when she was sentenced yesterday for the death of Francis Nelson, 74.

Nelson was found dead in September on a farm field in upstate Little Falls.

Carpenter said Riesel expected to collect on $180,000 worth of life insurance after Nelson’s death.
