16G tutu-theft tumult
Cops are on the hunt for a tutu bandit.
An Upper West Side dance organization reported that someone apparently stole $16,000 in ballet costumes.
The Manhattan Youth Ballet in April first noticed the outfits missing.
After months of trying to locate them, the group filed a theft report with cops on Aug. 3.
The dance costumes were borrowed from the Parsons Dance Company.
“We can’t put our hands on them. We did a search and couldn’t find them,” said Ann Layendecker, the business manager of the youth ballet.
