A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the back during a fight in Midtown on Sunday night, police said.

The attack happened near the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 38th Street around 8:30 p.m.

As the men fought, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the lower back. He then fled the scene.

The injured man was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made. Police said it’s unclear why the men were fighting.
