A Metro-North worker whose left hand and forearm were severely burned in a high-voltage explosion in 2006 in The Bronx has settled his lawsuit against the rail service for $1.1 million.

Jim Deacon, 51, of Southbury, Conn., and Metro-North officials settled Deacon’s lawsuit last week in New Haven federal court. The rail service also admitted fault in the accident.
