Two people have been busted in connection to the shooting death of a Staten Island man during a home invasion robbery last month, authorities said.
Kaitlyn Reuter, 35, and Nathaniel Morton, 40, were charged in the Dec. 16 slaying of Tamer Shaarawy, 38, inside his Arden Heights home, authorities said.
Shaarawy was blasted in the shoulder when the suspects entered his home on Hinton Street near Woodrow Road around 1:30 a.m., cops said.
The mask-wearing duo also snatched a chain off their victim’s neck, cops said.
He was rushed to Staten Island University South Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Reuter and Morton were each charged with murder, two counts of robbery, and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, cops said late Thursday.
Reuter has three prior arrests and Morton has four, according to police.
It remained unclear Friday morning whether the suspects were known to Shaarawy or whether he was targeted.
