Cops have arrested two men in the murder of a popular hip-hop disk jockey who was killed in an apparent botched robbery just steps from his Staten Island home.

William Williams, 21, and Richard Cromwell, 20, both of Staten Island, were arrested for the slaying of Corey McGriff — who went by the name DJ Megatron on WQHT-FM Hot 97 radio — police said.

They were charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and attempted robbery.

Law-enforcement sources said it appeared the duo killed McGriff during a robbery around 2 a.m. March 27, on Osgood Avenue near Vanderbilt Avenue in Clifton.

Police sources said the suspects followed McGriff out of the Park Hill houses, where the DJ had just purchased marijuana.

When McGriff fought back, Williams allegedly shot him. They then took his watch and one of his cellphones, sources said.
