Two men are facing murder and other charges in separate killings on Long Island.
One of the victims was a construction flagman. Prosecutors say he was shot after one of the gunmen became upset about being stuck in traffic at a construction site.
Suffolk DA Thomas Spota says Reginald Ross fatally shot Raymond Hirt, a 51-year-old flagman, last May.
Ross and another man, Luis Cherry, are charged in the October killing of 39-year-old John Williams in Holbrook.
Spota says Williams knew a drug dealer who had stiffed the alleged killers on a payment. Spota says he was killed in a failed plot to lure the drug dealer to the funeral.
The pair, alleged Crips gang members, pleaded not guilty Tuesday. Their attorneys did not immediately comment.
