Two people were seriously injured in a two-car collision in Brooklyn last night, paramedicsc said.

Cops said they were investigating witness reports that the accident was sparked by a police chase. The crash occurred at Lee Avenue and Rutledge Street in Williamsburg shortly before midnight.

A witness who asked not to be identified said he heard sirens and “saw a [civilian] car go really fast down the street and hit another vehicle.” The witness said the car apparently being chased was going at least 45 miles per hour.

Two people were taken to Bellevue Hospital with “very serious” injuries, said an EMT from the volunteer Hatzolah group.
