Two men were critically injured when their car careened into a pole in Brooklyn on Monday morning, officials said.

The 26-year-old driver of the late-model Honda was traveling at an “excessive rate of speed” around 3:40 a.m. when he lost control and barreled into the pole on Kings Highway near Tilden Avenue in East Flatbush, police said.

The driver and his 30-year-old passenger were the only people in the car at the time of the crash.

Photographs from the scene show the dark car — which police said belonged to a family member of the driver — mangled and wrapped around the metal pole.

Both men were rushed to Kings County Hospital, where the driver was critical but stable, and his passenger was listed in “extremely critical condition,” police said.
