Two people are dead and four wounded after a wild shoot-out in a Yonkers apartment building.

It happened at about 1:30 a.m. at the Cromwell Towers on Locust Hill Avenue. Police responded to reports of people shot inside the building and in the parking garage.

The towers are a sprawling 16-story complex that was built in the early 1970s. The Journal News describes the building as “crime-plagued.” It reportedly has more than 300 units of Section 8 housing.

A string of violence in the past three weeks has left four people dead and more than 12 wounded in Yonkers.
