The Park Avenue Armory, a 19th-century landmark whose cavernous drill hall has become a cultural destination for nontradi-tional visual and performing art, has embarked on a $200 million revitalization of its interiors that will transform it into a center for all forms of artistic expression.

“It’s going to be very clear what has happened in the building in last 131 years … that every one of these rooms has a character and story to tell,” said Rebecca Robertson, the armory’s president and executive producer.
