The bigwigs behind the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics are sticking by their leader Casey Wasserma — after a series of cringeworthy emails between the entertainment exec and Jeffrey Epstein madam Ghislaine Maxwell.
The LA28 Executive Committee announced Wednesday that Wasserman will remain as chairman of the LA28 Organizing Committee for the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Documents included in the DOJ release of the Jeffrey Epstein files included correspondence from Wasserman. APThe committee cited the “strong leadership he has exhibited over the past ten years” in making its decision.
“We found Mr. Wasserman’s relationship with Epstein and Maxwell did not go beyond what has already been publicly documented,” the board said in a statement.
The show of support comes after recently released government files revealed flirtatious email exchanges between Wasserman and Maxwell dating back to 2003. In the messages, Wasserman wrote that he wanted to see Maxwell in a “tight leather outfit,” and Maxwell presented him with an offer for a massage that could “drive a man wild.”

REUTERSThe decision comes after mounting pressure from local leaders calling for his resignation. LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn pulled no punches in calling for Wasserman to step down, saying that “having him represent us on the world stage distracts focus from our athletes and enormous efforts needed to prepare for 2028.”
City Councilman Hugo Soto-Martinez was equally blunt: “At the same time as Ghislaine Maxwell was orchestrating one of the most notorious sex-trafficking operations in our country’s history, she was allegedly romantically involved with the person now serving as chair of LA28,” he said in a statement.
Wasserman had addressed the controversy after the emails were released.

“I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light,” he said in a statement.
Wasserman did acknowledge traveling on Epstein’s plane in 2002 at the age of 28 as part of a Clinton Foundation humanitarian delegation—a trip that’s “well documented,” he noted.

“Umm — all that rubbing — are you sure you can take it?” she responded.
The LA28 organizing committee, whose board was reportedly “hand-picked” by Wasserman, includes Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, actress Jessica Alba, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and media mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg, among others.
The vote of confidence comes after an outside firm, O’Melveny & Myers LLP, reviewed Wasserman’s past ties with Epstein and Maxwell.
