A 22-year-old dad was shot and killed in his Bronx apartment Friday morning, sources said.

Raul Melendez was discovered in his Wakefield home with gunshot wounds to his head and stomach at around 7:30 a.m, according to police.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating the case as a homicide.

Sources said that Melendez was employed as a maintenance worker at a Brooklyn school and was the father of a 1-month-old baby boy.
