Oy vey!
Someone stole sacred texts worth $233,000 from a Brooklyn synagogue early Sunday morning.
The thief busted down the rear door to the Maase Rokach Congregation on 12th Avenue and 55th Street in Borough Park some time between 3 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., police said.
He made off with nine Torah scrolls worth nearly a quarter-million dollars combined. Someone at the synagogue noticed they were missing and called police around 4 p.m. on Sunday, cops said.
It appears the thief acted alone, and police are investing.
