A young artist in a trendy section of Red Hook was found shot dead yesterday afternoon.

The unidentified victim, who is in his 20’s, took one bullet to the head and one to the chest, police said.

He was gunned down around 5:45 p.m. inside the ground-floor apartment on Summit Street near Hamilton Ave., sources said.

Neighbors said the victim used the apartment as both a studio and living space. The entire block is lined with creative types, they added.

Several neighbors said they didn’t hear gun shots.

Police have not yet identified the victim.
