A 28-year-old man was shot dead in the Bronx late Thursday, authorities said. 

The victim was blasted in the face at East 220th Street near Carpenter Avenue in Olinville around 9:10 p.m., cops said. 

Responding officers found him lying unconscious and unresponsive, and EMS rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. 

Cops said it was unclear whether he was the intended target, and the motive for the shooting was not immediately clear.

No arrests have been made, and the victim’s name has not been released pending family notification.
