A car salesman who jumped the border to Canada after allegedly pocketing almost $2.3 million in auto sales tax from used cars sold at his Long Island dealership has been returned to New York after a 4-year extradition battle.

Boriz Michaelov, 43 allegedly failed to pay sales taxes collected on nearly 3,000 cars between December 2001 to May 2005 at his Elmont shop.

Michaelov was returned Thursday and was being held without bail yesterday on charges including grand larceny. He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
