The Tappan Zee, Kosciuszko and Goethals bridges were rated the worst in the state by AAA experts yesterday.

Among the group’s concerns are subpar steel that makes up the Tappan Zee, the limited sight lines on the Kosciuszko and small lanes on the Goethals.

“Extremely narrow lanes, no shoulders, and severe grooves in the pavement create horrendous driving conditions and daily danger,” the report said about the Goethals.

AAA spokesman Robert Sinclair added that the bridges were the “worst of the worst and are handling volumes of traffic far in excess of what they’re designed to.”

All three bridges are up for reconstruction in the next decade.
