Three firefighters were injured battling a blaze at a Staten Island home early Tuesday, FDNY officials said.
Firefighters responded to reports of a fire inside the two-story home on Rockland Avenue near Ferndale Avenue in Heartland Village at 2:05 a.m., cops said.
A total of 106 firefighters responded to the two-alarm blaze, which was under control at 2:50 a.m., officials said.
Three firefighters suffered minor injuries — one was taken to Richmond University Medical Center, and the other two went to Staten Island University Hospital North.
The house was vacant and being renovated by a neighbor, WCBS-TV reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
