Glass from a window fell from a Fifth Avenue high-rise building Wednesday evening, smashing on the sidewalk and injuring three people.
The large pane fell from the 17th floor of a commercial building at 245 Fifth Ave. at around 6:45 p.m., sources said.
Witnesses said the glass shards sent passers-by fleeing in panic.
Three people in front of the building were cut when the pane shattered, and they suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police sources.
They were taken to NYU Langone Medical Center for treatment of cuts.
