Joey Comunale was stabbed to death following a party inside the swank Grand Sutton co-op tower, with Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance saying the brutal slaying was “compounded” by efforts at a cover-up.

  • James Rackover, 26, hosted the party. He’s charged with second-degree murder, hindering prosecution, tampering with physical evidence and three counts of concealment of a human corpse.
  • Lawrence Dilione, 28, faces the same charges as Rackover, Dilione allegedly confessed that he knocked out Comunale, 26, during a fight over cigarettes, with Rackover saying “we have to kill him” before choking Comunale and knifing him in the head.
  • Max Gemma, 29, is charged with three counts of hindering prosecution and one count of tampering with physical evidence. His dad, Gordon Gemma, is a former mayor of Oceanport, NJ, where Comunale was found buried on Nov. 16.
