Three New York women are accused of stealing almost $300,000 from a social service agency in Westchester County.

The women who worked for the Westchester Community Opportunity Program are set to face felony grand larceny charges during appearances in Greenburgh Town Court on Tuesday.

Town police launched an investigation after WestCOP notified them of suspicious payroll checks four months ago.

Police say the agency’s human resources assistant and her cousin conspired with the bookkeeper to rip off the agency between January 2009 and June of this year.
