A former inmate whose testicles were crunched by a guard at Arthur Kill state prison on Staten Island won a $300,000 settlement from the state yesterday.

Stephen Lewis, who served two years for narcotics charges, sued the state, four guards and the superintendent of the prison for $5 million, claiming that he had been sexually assaulted.

“What happened to me was tragic,” he said from his Mount Vernon home.

Lewis said that on Nov. 8, 2007, he complained about not getting his commissary privileges.

A jury found a correction officer put him up against the wall, then squeezed his privates.
