Two Manhattan-based financial advisers have been indicted for allegedly looting a total of $1 million from customers — and one suspect is a dapper self-described “personal banker” charged with swiping $300,000 from an old woman with dementia.

Edward Lewando allegedly tricked feeble Ellen Korne, 94, into signing check after check during his visits to her home, using the money to pay off his American Express bill and buy himself goodies from Bergdorf Goodman and Louis Vuitton, prosecutor Elizabeth Loewy said in Manhattan Supreme Court yesterday.

Lewando, 51, of Holbrook, LI, pleaded not guilty and was ordered held in lieu of $300,000 bail.

“The funds were used for a disabled woman who needed substantial care,” Lewando’s lawyer, Paul Feinman, said.

In the second indictment, a personal banker for JPMorgan Chase, Fordin Francois, 26, of Queens, is accused of looting $700,000 from 17 account holders by stealing their personal identification information and passing it along to unnamed collaborators who made the withdrawals.
