A Brooklyn man was shot and killed while washing his car Saturday morning in a brutal attack that was caught on video, police said.
The victim, Kenneth Singleton, 35, was kneeling, with his back to the sidewalk, as he washed the tires of the car when a man walking by suddenly took a few steps towards him and opened fire, the footage shows.
Singleton, who was outside his home on Milford Street in East New York at the time, then crumples, the video reveals.
Paramedics rushed Singleton to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:27 a.m., police said.
Prior to the killing, at least 17 people were injured in a dozen unrelated shootings across the city overnight.
