A straphanger was stabbed in the neck in a brazen attack inside a Manhattan subway station Monday afternoon, according to police and sources.
The victim, a 37-year-old man, was knifed while waiting on the downtown 4-5-6 train platform at the 86th Street and Lexington Avenue station on the Upper East Side at about 4:25 p.m., cops said.
The man reportedly got into a dispute with his attacker before the bloody assault, according to sources.

Police recovered a knife from the scene and took the suspected stabber into custody. The suspect was not immediately charged.
