MONTCLAIR, NJ — Authorities don’t know the motive in a shooting that left four people wounded in Montclair.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office says a young woman and three young men were shot around 1 a.m. Tuesday on Mission Street.

The woman is hospitalized in serious condition.

The men’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Three of the victims are from Montclair and the fourth is from Newark.

There’s no description of the suspect, who remains on the loose.
