A New Jersey high school and the surrounding community of Linwood were in mourning yesterday a day after four players on the school’s football team were killed and four more injured in an SUV crash as they traveled to a team meal.

The driver apparently lost control of the car Saturday morningas it went around a crest on the Garden State Parkway and came upon heavy traffica State Police spokesman said.

The SUV rolled several times, throwing out two passengers, one of whom was struck by a passing car, police said.

All eight played for the Mainland Regional HS football team in Linwood and ranged in age from 15 to 17, police said yesterday.

The driver, Casey Brenner, 17, of Northfield, was among those who were killed.
