A 4-year-old girl was critically injured after she was struck by a school bus while crossing the street in Brooklyn early Monday evening.
The girl was walking on East 2nd Street between Avenues I & J in Midwood shortly before 5 p.m. when a yellow school bus rammed into her, according to the NYPD.

The girl was hospitalized in critical condition. William C Lopez/New York PostShe was rushed to Maimonides Hospital in critical condition, while the school bus remained on the scene.
Later Monday evening, her condition was updated to critical but stable, according to the NYPD.
It’s unclear if any students were on board at the time of the accident.
No arrests have been made, cops said.
