A 4-year-old Yonkers girl was critically wounded when she accidentally shot herself in the face late Monday, police said.

The accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. at Walnut Street near Ashburton Avenue inside a second-floor apartment, authorities said.

She was rushed to a local trauma center in critical condition, officials said.

Investigators recovered a semiautomatic pistol from the apartment, but it wasn’t immediately clear whom it belonged to, cops said.
