Four “outstanding” boroughites were honored for their community service when the 41st Assembly District Democratic Club held an awards ceremony in Mill Basin on May 6.

City Councilmember Lew Fidler (D-Mill Basin) and Assemblymember Helen Weinstein (D-Sheepshead Bay) presented awards of distinction to the quartet during a tribute program at Eden Caterers on East 68th Street, off Avenue U.

The honorees were: Lucina Clarke, executive director of the autism advocacy group My Time; Gil Cygler, All Car Rent a Car; Leonard Petlakh, Kings Bay Y; and Joseph Sorrentino, Mill Basin Lions Club.
