A gunman opened fire on spectators exiting Brooklyn’s Bishop Loughlin HS following a basketball game Friday night, wounding five teenagers, one of them female, police said yesterday.
The victims, ages 17 to 19, were hit in the arms and legs but sustained no life-threatening injuries. Another male, 18, was punched in the mouth, a source said.
Police said that a fight broke out between seven teens and two others at about 10 p.m., as the crowd spilled onto of Vanderbilt and Greene avenues in Fort Greene.
They said it was unclear whether the shooter hit any of his intended victims.
Bishop Loughlin coach Ed Gonzalez, whose team lost to arch rival Christ the King, said none involved in the shooting was a student there.
“There was a great high-school basketball atmosphere in the gym, and, unfortunately, it had to end up with something like this,” he said.
