A 5-year-old boy was critically injured after being struck by a driver in Brooklyn on Sunday night, police said.

The youngster was walking along Ocean Avenue near Avenue S in Gravesend when he was struck by an out-of-control car just before 5:30 p.m., according to cops.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, was going northbound on the Ocean Parkway service road when he collided with a tree then hit the child, police said.

The child was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical, but stable condition, authorities said.

Police said the driver remained on scene.

No charges have been filed as police continue their investigation.
