$6.5M drug bust
Four New York City men were caught yesterday transferring 51 pounds of methamphetamine (street value $4.8 million) and 11 pounds of heroin ($1.75 million) from a tractor-trailer to a car in a New Jersey rest area, the feds said.
The Drug Enforcement Administration called the amount of meth seized five times the total for all of 2010.
The ring had smuggled the drugs all the way from Mexico, agents said.
