A 6-month-old infant who was with her mother in their Bronx home on Friday evening lost consciousness and died, police said.
The baby, Charlie McCall, was awake and well with her mother at their home on Jefferson Place near Clinton Avenue in Morrisania soon before 9 p.m. when it suddenly passed out, cops said.
The mother called 911 and medics rushed the baby to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, where it was pronounced dead, authorities said.
There were not signs of trauma to the girl’s body, and her cause of death was not immediately known, cops said. The Medical Examiner is investigating the death.
