A woman who was hit by an e-scooter in Harlem this week died from her injuries, police said Thursday.
Anette Camaya, 60, of East Harlem, was crossing Pleasant Avenue near 118th Street around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday when she was struck by a 34-year-old man driving a 2019 Wuxi Dongma Z6 electric scooter southbound on Pleasant Avenue, cops said.
Emergency responders found Camaya lying on the pavement, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma to the head and body.
Police at the scene where a woman was struck by an electric bike.Peter GerberEMS rushed Camaya and the scooter driver to Harlem Hospital, where she was pronounced dead the next day, authorities said. He was treated for minor injuries and released.
There have been no arrests and the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
