625G charity scam rap
A charity worker with a checkered past was charged with stealing more than $625,000 in taxpayer money, The Post has learned.
Peter Pavich, 49, allegedly scammed the cash by securing a series of government grants for Helping Hands Unlimited, a Brooklyn nonprofit he formerly ran but which hasn’t provided any services since 2006.
He declined comment yesterday after appearing in Manhattan federal court.
