The price tag for clearing the 52¾ inches of snow that fell this season could hit $63 million, Sanitation Commissioner John Doherty told a City Council hearing yesterday.
Doherty said his agency had budgeted $38.3 million and has already spent $42.7 million
That number doesn’t include the two most recent snowstorms, which are expected to add up to another $20 million to the bill.
