Seven people were hurt and multiple families displaced when a massive blaze ripped through a Brooklyn home early Friday, authorities said.
The heavy fire erupted inside the three-story multi-family house on Kingsland Avenue near Lombardy Street in Williamsburg around 4 a.m. — and quickly spread to the adjoining homes on either side, as well as buildings behind it, FDNY officials said.
Video posted to the department’s Instagram later in the morning showed the raging inferno, with flames shooting out of windows and huge plumes of smoke rising from the building.

We had a lot of units here quickly,” Assistant Fire Chief Tim Currao said. “It will be a very prolonged operation. We have a lot of overhauling to do, making sure the fire is completely out.”
Seven injuries were reported in the fire — including two civilians and two firefighters who were taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, as well as another person who was transported to Weill Cornell Medical Center, the FDNY said.
Two others refused medical attention, officials said.
The cause of the massive fire remains under investigation. David Burns/@FD4DThe FDNY did not provide information on the victims’ conditions, but the NYPD said four people suffered minor injuries.
Ten families were also displaced, according to police.
The cause and origin of the blaze remained under investigation by fire marshals later Friday.
