A blaze broke out in a Staten Island apartment building Friday morning , injuring seven people — one critically, authorities said.

Firefighters rushed to the scene of the fire in the New Springville building on Richmond Hill Road and Country Drive around 9 a.m., authorities said.

It took nearly an hour to get the flames under control, the FDNY said.

In addition to the one victim with critical injuries, five other civilians and one firefighter suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

All of the victims were taken to Staten Island University North Hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire marhal, officials said.
